“We won’t eat another bite until…
you say you’ll come see our gowns!”
How’s that for an invitation? Not able to deny someone their next meal, I had to say, somewhat reluctantly, “OK….but I don’t need another designer in my salon.”
Well…..may I introduce yet ANOTHER new designer to my store?!
Meet Isabelle Armstrong New York!
The brand is a fantasy name that has been in existence for a few years, but never had the umph that it does now. The owners have hired the famed Kenneth Pool to design for them! He has had a auspicious track record with Vera Wang, Reem Acra, Amsale and his own label before he got bought out to bring his formidable talent to this label. And what a talent it is!
Kenneth’s showroom was a penthouse at the Plaza Athene. A sink to the floor sofa and a Knob Creek cocktail (how did they know?) were a welcome welcome at the end of a long day of zipping from showroom to showroom. I really went out of obligation that I wanted this eager to please staff to be able to eat dinner…but was that every a deliciously palatable visit for me too!
Again, I was met with a team of people that said, “We will do whatever it takes to get our dresses in Nolte’s Bridal.” Flattering.
Their willingness to work with me on my constant customizations is very important to a new relationship.
(Eighty-two percent of the dresses sold at Nolte’s are tweaked from the original.)
My former brides will know that I’m a nut for fabulous trains and believe me , one of these gowns in silk faille has a train that will magnificently span any church’s aisle and FILL the steps of the chancel! I cannot WAIT to get this on in….but it will take up both windows to show it!
Tell me what you think so far! Oh my gosh, but these are fabulous!
