“I love, love, love fresh flowers and I love, love, love bright colors.”
Words spoken from a new bride, to whom I instantly clicked! When Kim Seyller called me to coordinate her wedding (as I had done for her brother six years ago), her only request was to have colorful flowers and lots of them! I loved this girl instantly!
Quickly, we built a vision based on the swatches seen here…all deep saturated colors for a summer event. Quickly we narrowed to this, purple, apple green and tangerine. Additionally, we wanted it to be something non-generic.
Kim and Bill loved the formal but relaxed ambiance that I created what with a heavenly, chiffon draped ceremony venue and “up in the sky” dinner party afterwards.
Together we did all the planning for invitations, menu selection, flowers and music. Of course her gown was a “one and done,” when she put on the Enaura designer gown. We extended the train and left it unlined (which made for fabulous First Dance pictures when she let it cascade from her wrist.)
If there was a theme word…for this wedding it would have to be “dreamy.” When it was announced last weekend in the KC Star…the phones blew up. It was really a wedding to remember for everyone lucky enough to be invited. MJN
